For nearly two decades, Brown County Civic Music has capped its annual classical-music subscription series with a visit by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Led by Music Director Ken-David Masur, the MSO is among the finest orchestras in the nation. The full-time professional musicians perform more than 135 classics, pops, family, education, and community concerts each season in venues throughout the state.

Hailed by The New York Times at its Carnegie Hall debut as “invariably energetic and finely burnished… playing with earthy vigor,” the Grammy Award-winning Catalyst Quartet was founded by the internationally acclaimed Sphinx Organization in 2010. The ensemble (Karla Donehew Perez, violin; Abi Fayette, violin; Paul Laraia, viola; and Karlos Rodriguez, cello) believes in the unity that can be achieved through music and imagine their programs and projects with this in mind, redefining and reimagining the classical music experience.

With an international reputation as one of the most popular brass ensembles today, Canadian Brass has truly earned the distinction of the world’s most famous brass group. Each of their concerts exhibit a full range of musical styles, from trademark Baroque and Dixieland tunes, to Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Joplin, Gershwin and Ellington to ballet, opera and new compositions and arrangements created especially for them. They have received a combined total of 24 GRAMMYS and have made appearances on “The Tonight Show,” “Evening at Pops with John Williams and the Boston Pops,” numerous PBS specials, and are frequent guests of many major symphony orchestras.
