Introducing Virtuosi Live! – A New Name, A Timeless Experience
We’re excited to unveil a bold new chapter in our story. The Brown County Civic Music Association’s beloved subscription concert series has a new name: Virtuosi Live!
This refreshed identity reflects the passion, artistry, and excellence that have defined our performances for nearly 100 years—now with a name that captures the energy and brilliance of the world-class musicians we bring to the stage.
Though our name has changed, our commitment remains the same: to deliver unforgettable live music experiences to our community. Join us as Virtuosi Live! ushers in a vibrant new era of musical excellence.
New name. Same passion. Let the music move you.
A New Stage for Collaboration: Brown County Civic Music Association & The Weidner Center
We are thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership between the Brown County Civic Music Association and the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts at UW–Green Bay.
This joint venture marks a bold step forward in our mission to bring world-class music to the Greater Green Bay community. Beginning with our upcoming season, performances will be held in both Cofrin Family Hall and Fort Howard Hall, two premier venues within the Weidner Center.
By combining the Civic Music Association’s legacy of excellence with the Weidner Center’s outstanding facilities and vibrant setting, we are creating an enriched experience for artists and audiences alike.
All concerts in the 2025/26 season will be held at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts.
This move allows us to present our concerts in a premier venue with outstanding acoustics,
reserved seating, flexible event space, and improved accessibility for patrons. It also opens the
door to new collaborations, pre- and post-concert events, and higher-profile talent.
More music. More collaboration. More to look forward to.

We understand you may have questions. Here are a few answers that might help:
Why are you making these changes?
Due to increasing artist and venue costs, plus a decline in volunteer availability, we’ve made
the strategic decision to leverage the Weidner Center’s resources to support talent acquisition,
production, and promotion, ensuring the high-quality experience our audiences expect.
Will ticket prices change?
Yes, there will be a slight increase. The truth is, artist fees and travel expenses have increased
over the years, as have venue fees. Partnering with the Weidner Center means we can sell more
tickets and bring in higher-caliber talent, so you will get more for your money.
Why Not West High?
Green Bay Area Public Schools will no longer release dates for community events until June.
We book our talent in January and February, and we must ensure venue availability at that
time. Therefore, we are not able to utilize West High School as a venue.
We’ve also created a dedicated page on our website with more information about our rebrand,
our new partnership, and our future plans. You can find it at BcCivicMusic.org

Support the Music You Love
As a nonprofit funded solely by donations and sponsorships, we rely on the generosity of our
community members to make our concerts accessible, support youth outreach, and ensure a
strong future. Donations help fund:
● Free tickets for local school groups
● Masterclasses, clinics, and workshops for student musicians
● Operational needs like piano tuning, staffing, and printed materials.
Our joint partnership with the Weidner Center does not include financial support for the
Virtuosi Live! Series. Therefore, we hope you will consider renewing your subscription, inviting a
new guest, or making a tax-deductible gift to Brown County Civic Music Association or Virtuosi Live!
Your support is the reason we can continue to bring exceptional music to our community. We
thank you for being with us on this exciting journey.
